Plain summary. Scoping a project is free, forever. Our paid plans (Plus for property owners / DIYers at $5/month and Pro / Contractor at $50/month) auto-renew. You can cancel anytime; you keep access through the end of the paid period. Subscription fees are non-refundable except as described below or as required by law.
1. Scope of this policy
This policy describes how cancellations and refunds work for subscriptions to the TradeSpark Service. It does not cover work performed by Pros; payment for construction work is handled directly between you and the Pro you hire.
2. Cancellation
You can cancel a paid subscription at any time from your account settings in the webapp, or by emailing hello@tradespark.ai. When you cancel:
- You will retain access to paid features through the end of the current billing period.
- Your subscription will not auto-renew.
- You will not receive a refund for the unused portion of the current period except as described in Section 3 or as required by applicable law.
3. Refunds
Subscription fees are generally non-refundable once charged. We will issue a refund in the following circumstances:
- Duplicate or erroneous charge. If you were charged more than once for the same period, or charged after a valid cancellation, contact us and we will refund the excess within 10 business days.
- Extended outage. If the Service is unavailable for a continuous period of more than 48 hours due to a failure on our side, and the outage materially impairs your ability to use a paid feature, you may request a prorated refund for the affected period.
- Required by law. We honor refund obligations imposed by applicable consumer protection law, including any mandatory cooling-off period for consumers in the EEA, UK, or other jurisdictions with similar rules. If you are entitled to a statutory cooling-off period, you may cancel within 14 days of first paid signup by emailing us; we will refund fees paid during that period, less the pro-rated value of any service already used, to the extent permitted by law.
4. Free trials and promotional offers
If we offer a free trial or promotional discount, the specific terms of that offer (including duration and what happens when it ends) will be presented at signup. Unless stated otherwise, paid service begins automatically at the end of a free trial and is billed at the then-current rate.
5. Price changes
We may change subscription prices. We will give you at least 30 days' advance notice. If you do not agree to the new price, you can cancel before it takes effect. Continued use after the effective date is your acceptance of the new price.
6. Chargebacks
If you dispute a charge, please contact us first at hello@tradespark.ai so we can resolve it directly. Initiating a chargeback without first contacting us may result in suspension or termination of your account pending resolution.
7. How to request a refund
Email hello@tradespark.ai with subject line "Refund request". Include the email address on your account, the date and amount of the charge, and a brief description of why you're requesting a refund. We'll respond within 10 business days.
